Humble Beginnings

Hola!

We are Claudia and Joe, founders of The Best of Uruguay travel company based in Australia. We discovered Uruguay several years ago after choosing it as one of the destinations on our honeymoon. We both developed a strong connection with the places we saw, the country, the culture, the people we met and their emphasis on family, community and togetherness – all of which makes Uruguay and its culture so special.

We have created what we call “love at first flight”. We fell in love with this country and we believe that you will too. Having made a return visit every year since our wedding, we felt compelled to build a company to share all the wonderful things that we have experienced in Uruguay with people from all over the world. Until now, Brazilians and Argentinians have been holidaying in this South American oasis for decades – but it is our mission at The Best of Uruguay to share this incredible nation with Australia, and the rest of the world.
